1、 用于液体
1) piping hot，特别指食物，如汤 a bowl of piping hot soup
2) boiling hot
3) steaming hot
4) scalding hot：the coffee is scalding hot.

1) red-hot: 用于各种物体
2) white-hot：只用于金属
3、 用于气体
